SMS Terms & Conditions

Last updated August 1, 2026

These terms describe the SMS/text messaging programs Lithic operates on behalf of the home-service businesses it works with (missed-call follow-up, appointment updates, and consent-based lead re-engagement), and the SMS admin messages sent to business owners themselves.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP. Reply HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

How opt-in works

Nobody is enrolled in Lithic’s SMS programs by default. A request and its confirmation are logged with a timestamp and source before recurring automated messages begin:

  • Business owners sign in to their Lithic account, open Text alerts, review the disclosure, check the consent box, and request a confirmation text. They must reply YES from the enrolled owner phone before recurring owner alerts begin.
  • Customers/leads may give consent by calling or texting a Lithic-enabled business number. When a participating business offers website text enrollment, checking a box only requests a one-time verification text; the customer must reply YESfrom that same phone before consent is recorded. Where a lead list is imported, we require the business to document how and when consent was obtained — a phone number with no documented consent is quarantined and never messaged automatically.

A website verification request expires after ten minutes and can be used once. Replying STOP cancels a pending request and records the opt-out. A later anonymous website submission cannot undo it.

What you’ll receive

  • Missed-call follow-up texts after a call to a Lithic-enabled business line.
  • Appointment confirmations, reminders, and status updates for service you’ve requested.
  • For opted-in lead re-engagement only: a maximum of two messages per campaign, sent only between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM in the recipient’s local time, with no automated follow-up sent after any reply or after a STOP request.
  • For business owners: SMS summaries of their own business’s activity and, where enabled, an SMS-based admin assistant.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to any message at any time. This takes effect immediately: the number is marked opted out and will not receive further automated messages from that program. You may resume messages later by replying START or YES if you receive a new opt-in confirmation.

What we will never do by text

  • Ask for a password, payment card number, or bank/government ID number.
  • Quote a final, binding price or promise a specific technician arrival time.
  • Send unsolicited marketing to a number with no documented consent.
  • Continue messaging a number after it has replied STOP or opted out.

If a message ever asks you for payment or sensitive personal details, it did not come from Lithic’s SMS system as designed — please contact us using the details below.

Carrier disclosures

  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
  • Message frequency varies by program and your interactions with the business.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Supported carriers may change without notice; this is not a guarantee of delivery on every network.
